MARC MOWBRAY
MY BACKGROUND
How IÂ Got Here?
My journey to becoming a celebrant has been a long and rewarding one.
I have learned so much on the way
and met many interesting and caring individuals who have guided and mentored me.

It has been an emotional and fruitful ride.

Writing scripts for funerals is hard and yet worthwhile, insightful and reflective.
The emotions shared and the feelings that arise from this vocation are varied and at times quite intense.

I am pulled towards being a humanist celebrant as I want to contribute.
I want to do something human for my fellow humans.
I wish to Celebrate People

What have I been doing until now you ask?
I was born in Edinburgh at the bottom of Victoria Street in 1974. On leaving school I knew I wanted to be a musician, in particular a piano entertainer. For 30 years I have enjoyed performing music for many people in many places.
I am a father of 5 children.

I have moved into a new chapter of my life and look forward as a celebrant, willing to contribute and help make your ceremony what you want.
A poem by Mark Twain
This poem was written by Mark Twain in the early 1890's.
'These I can Promise' is often used as a wedding ceremony poem.
